For most applications, particularly shop front situations, we recommend reverse mode Liquid Crystal Display (LCD’s). They remain clearly visible in variable lighting conditions, including bright sunlight. The high contrast, solid characters appear white on a dark background and have a wide viewing angle. Combining advanced light box technology with digital displays enables LCD Rate boards to create maximum impact, with non-variable information such as corporate logos and fixed messages backlit to stunning effect. Advertising posters can also be incorporated into the design to gain maximum marketing benefits.

Moving Messages

LCD Rate boards can be optionally provided with dynamic moving text messages. Messages can be displayed in any chosen sequence at varying frequencies. The visual appearance of the message varies depending upon the technology employed.

Larger Characters

Rate boards with larger characters have recently become of interest to some of our customers. The 1 ½ inch rather than the standard ½ inch character have been available for many years but few customers had taken advantage of it. If you’ve seen the themed rate boards at Disneyland Paris or the duty free notices on the ferry across you’ll have seen them first hand. With the need for fewer rates in the future maybe now is the time to consider larger characters in order to maintain rate board presence. Combined with Super Bright tubes the product is quite outstanding.

Super Bright Tubes

The Super Bright Lighting option improves the light output of rate boards to offer pure white images whilst also enhancing the contrast significantly. The option is perfect for direct sunlight conditions and impressively enhances the look of the rate boards. Even in poor light conditions the intensity of the light is by no means overpowering due to the automatic contrast adjusting facility.
